War Strategy

Our previous clan had 59 wins and this one has won 11 already in 6 weeks. We are simply getting better and better as we grow as a clan.

I have summarized the following as the reasons why we win wars:
1. High participation. 100% core participation is usually not a problem.
2. A core group of TH8- TH10 guys can raid very well in wars. And they have very high level troops regardless TH levels.
3. We follow specific war strategy. See below.
4. Team work and communications. The core group works together to win war for the clan. No selfish raids.
5. Strong leadership. Leaders provide the best max troops even if they don't make profits. Kitty/Zedd directs most wars to maximize the stars for the clan since she understands everyone's fighting style and utilizes their maximum potential.  

Strategy aside, you must know how to raid

If you look at our clan profiles, you will notice we are heavy Gowipe clan. Most TH9 and even TH8 have high level Golem, pekka, wiz and witches. And they know how to use it. 

After many losses in the past, we have discovered that hogs days are over. Dragons are very limited on Th9 and TH10 bases. The only way to conquer war is to use good lava balloon minions or Gowipe, Gowiwi and Gowiwipe, aka the heavy ground troops. 

So a few months ago, we pushed everyone to upgrade Golem and pekka. If you are new and want to stay long term, you need to do this asap!

Now onto our strategy:

There is only one thing matters when it comes to winning war:  

Our ability to get the maximum amount of stars from the opponent clan must be greater than theirs. 

How to achieve that? By three starring their bases as many as possible. 

Many clans make the mistakes by asking their players to raid their equal counterparts. That's often resulting to a lot of 1 or 2 stars. If I were a max TH9 player, my ability to three star their max TH9 is greatly diminished. However, as an established TH9 player, I can three star almost all TH8 and majority of weak TH9 bases. So why not use one of my two raids to drop lower and get a sure three star? 

We mostly do 30 base wars. And we ask our top 22 ish players to drop lower on their first raid and ensure three starring all TH8 and weak TH9 bases. That usually yields us about 16-19 three starred bases per war. That's 48-57 stars already!!! Most of our clan members have no problem two starring TH9 and mid level TH10, so as you can see from our war log, we have absolutely no problem pushing star count towards or exceeding 75 while most other clans can't even get to upper 60's because they can't three star bases like we do.  With 22 ish core players, that's 44 raids on 30 bases. This doesn't even count the bottom 8 people who normally can wipe out the bottom 3-5 bases.
